Do you ever find yourself drifting away from something or someone you love? It could be anything, but can especially mean from your friends to your faith.
You know how they say once a Catholic always a Catholic? That is usually the case.
But, you CAN find your way through simple prayer.
Have you ever "almost" changed to a different church? I "almost" did. Years ago, I was the organist at a Roman Catholic Church. Then, I ended up moving away. In 2007, I was introduced to Joyce Meyer Ministries via television. I thought she made more sense than a Catholic priest! She "explained" the Bible. I started to build a collection of her books, DVDs and CDs.
However, I kept praying my faithful Psalms from my faithful Catholic Bible.
I became a lay associate for Priests For Life in 2007, but Fr. Frank Pavone has been in Staten Island, New York, I have never met him and I am terrified to speak my pro-life beliefs. However, I never stopped praying.
Then, in 2012, without a computer, I started to handwrite articles for My People newspaper, mailing the submissions to the editor in the U.S. Mail. I could not monetarily give to the Church, so I thought I could give of my talent.
Can you see how I am hanging on for dear life?
Finally, all those Psalms paid off. I have returned to my Catholic faith. I have transportation to Mass. I have my own home. I have a computer with Wi-Fi. I even have a cellular phone! Many people may take things like these forgranted.
The easiest way to be a good Catholic is to simplypray! God forgives our worst sins. The lives of the saints were mostly as far away from God imaginable, but they changed their lives around. Think of this, especially when you are alone!
