Are you sad? Just cannot get out of that funk? Lonely? You are NOT the only one. There ARE ways to snap out of it and see the light.
If it is winter time where you live, you may have seasonal affective disorder. Not having enough vitamin D can make you miserable. Either take your vitamin by mouth, purchase a sun light, open up your blinds first thing in the morning or go outside for about 10 minutes in the cool air. Eating canned corn has been found to be as effective as a dose of sunshine!
Also, exercise. This will get you out of that funk. Exercise to workout DVDs, march in place to music, clean and organize your house, etc.
Lonely? Learn something new! Take a free on-line course. Search pinterest for these free courses. There are tons of them. Take a look at Universities & Colleges Blog. Take up a new hobby. Learn some new recipes. Go to the library and borrow that book you have always wanted to read.
However, WHO should you seek out if you are sad, in a funk and lonely? God. Who will intercede for you? St. Jude. He is the Patron Saint of Lost Causes. He will help you FIND that light in the darkness when you ask with the following prayer:
St. Jude, friend to those in need, I am weary from grief, without joy, without hope, struggling to find the light I know is in my soul. I turn to you, my most trusted intercessor. Take away this emptiness and the pain of my broken heart. In your compassion, help my tears to lead me to a place of peace in my heart. Too long have I forgotten the goodness of Godís world. Heal me. I yearn to feel light, to feel joy. Envelop me in brightness, and do not hold back. And I promise, if I receive these gifts, I will share them always in your name. Amen.
There is a Chinese Proverb that says "It only takes one candle to bright up the darkness". Make it the St. Jude Prayer.
