Believe in yourself today, tomorrow and forever
Thankfulness (2)      Praise (1)      Worship (1)      Adoration (1)      Reverence (1)
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Psalm 100:4

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Psalm 66:4

You must have both praise and worship together in order to have a total worship experience. Before you agree or disagree with my opening statement, let me define both praise and worship.

people praising through song

According to the Webster dictionary, praise is the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something. In addition, worship is the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity (the worship of God). In other words, your situation should not change your praise, but your praise can certainly change your situation! You have to acknowledge that praise and worship is a personal journey which helps to strengthen your relationship with God. More importantly, don’t forget that praise precedes the victory and worship is your response to God’s love for you.

In happy moments, praise God. In difficult moments, seek God. In quiet moments, worship God. In painful moments, trust God. In every moment, thank God. -Unknown

Lifting Your Hands
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. Psalm 134:2

With Your Words
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22

Dancing & Instruments
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3

Fellowship with other Believers
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church I will praise unto thee. Hebrews 2:12

So, the next time you are striving to reach your total worship experience, make sure to enjoy your personal journey with God knowing that praise refers to thanking God for what he has done in your life and worship refers to bragging on God for who He is. Praise and worship is a great way to set your heart and mind in the right place.
