The Holy Spirit is included in the Trinity, which is made up of 3 distinct persons:
• The Father
• The Son
• The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit serves as a teacher, counselor, comforter, strengthener, inspiration, revealer of the Scriptures, convincer of sin, caller of ministers, and intercessor in prayer. In addition, the Holy Spirit has certain characteristics of personality that appears throughout the Scriptures.

• The Holy Spirit has a mind (see Romans 8:27)
• The Holy Spirit has a will (see I Corinthians 12:11)
• The Holy Spirit has emotions and He grieves (see Isaiah 63:10)
• The Holy Spirit gives joy (see Luke 10:21)
• The Holy Spirit teaches (see John 14:26)
• The Holy Spirit testifies of Christ (see John 15:26)
• The Holy Spirit convicts (see John 16:8)
• The Holy Spirit leads (see Romans 8:14)
• The Holy Spirit reveals truth (see John 16:13)
• The Holy Spirit strengthens and encourages (see Acts 9:31)
• The Holy Spirit comforts (see John 14:16)
• The Holy Spirit intercedes (see Romans 8:26)
• The Holy Spirit sanctifies (see Romans 15:16)
The Holy Spirit lives within us and shares his wonderful characteristics of personality throughout our Christian walk. We should thank Jesus Christ daily for giving us such a wonderful gift that helps us overcome the challenges of life.
